As Muslims we sometimes seem to concentrate on religious actions rather than our actions. When in fact, a Muslim is the combination of the both, as Muslims we must pray our five prayers but we must also treat people with respect.

A member of a certain mosque, who previously had started attending the mosque to perform his Salaah (prayer), suddenly stopped attending. After a few weeks, the imam decided to visit him.
It was a chilly evening. The imam found the man alone at home, sitting before a blazing fire. Guessing…
”We are living in strange times, where you can have a Phd in Bio Chemistry and you can have a doctorate in Nuclear Physics or History or Political Science, and the guy does not know how to be a husband - the guy has no clue how to be a neighbor - he has no idea how to be a good son or a good father for that matter, he has no clue.
I would consider that a basic education! To be a decent son, a decent father, a decent neighbor - basically a decent human being, a decent husband - these are basic things, but people have pursued and we have defined for ourselves education in other things and when it comes to the very basics of a decent member of society and a decent member of the family, we are almost completely ignorant!”

Ya Allah, give me eyes that see the best in people, a heart that forgives the worst, a mind that forgets the bad, and a soul that never loses faith. Ameen(via heartofabeliever)(via munsyi)

Photo and caption by Nick Ledger
The mosque was commissioned by Yemen’s President Al-Saleh and completed in 2008 at a reported cost of $60 million. Each of the minarets are over 100m high, the main hall alone covers 13,500 square metres and the mosque can hold over 44,000 people. It makes for a stunning view when seen from a rooftop in the Old City of Sana’a.

Memang ada waktu,
kamu akan melihat seperti Allah tidak menghiraukanmu.
engkau kecewa.
Ingin meninggalkanNya.
Seakan-akan engkau merasa, engkau sahajalah yang diperlakukan sedemikian rupa.Jangan. Aku juga demikian sebenarnya.
Tetapi aku kekal percaya.
Kerna…
